New Mobile Map Search 1-21-19

Our Consumer experience team has been hard at work on totally revamping our mobile website map search experience for your BoomTown website. We’re proud to announce the newest version is now available in the hands of all of your BoomTown leads and users.

We redesigned the whole experience from the ground up to make searching with a map intuitive, easy, and we’ve kept a careful eye on conversion rate to ensure no lost performance. In fact we’ve seen some very impressive numbers in our testing. A 239% increase in time spent on site for those who interacted with the map search in our testing! More time on site = opportunities for you.

Let’s breakdown all of the new features!

Map Search From List View

Users can access the map view from any listings view page by selecting the “Map” button in the top left corner.

Once on the map view page you’ll be able to adjust the map and see results update at different zoom levels. We’ve color coded the dots on the page to reflect different types of properties, and make it easy to search by displaying prices.

Please note that if the number of listings exceeds the what can reasonably be displayed we’ll only show up to 50 listings at a time for a clear view. The user will know that they are seeing 50 of XX amount of listings with a prompt at the top of the screen. Tap on any dot to view the property in a card form at the bottom of the page. This can be swiped away to view the next property.

Properties Near Me

For your users on the go we’ve provided a much improved version of “Properties near me”. This allows the user to see listings based on their actual location, and as they walk or move the location and related listings will update. This makes checking out the neighborhood, and finding a nearby listing easy to do.

Polygon Draw Tool

Last but not least is our new Polygon Draw Tool! Users can define their search area by using their finger to draw a closed area on the map search. This will limit listings to those within this geographic area, and users can then save this search if they wish to do so.
